If you do you might be interested in this interview from Mexico.

In the interview Luis Mochan, a Phyiscs Professor at Instituto de Ciencias Físicas, UNAM, speaks to the journalist Carmen Aristegui, about the role of the UK Government in helping to promote the GT200.

Luis has been working hard to end the use of the GT200 and the ADE651 in Mexico. We hope the coverage that he is getting will finally make the Government in Mexico see some sense and stop the use of these useless devices once and for all.

Hopefully it will also cause further embarrassment to the UK officials responsible for helping Gary Bolton sell the GT200. This despite the fact that a Home Office report was circulated in Whitehall in 2001 that warned these devices were not capable of the claims made for them.

The information that Luis is speaking about is from the article in The Guardian.

Here is the interview with Luis:

A Romanian company has patented devices similar to those Jim McCormick sold, it seems.

And some physics professor from Bucharest has been named on the Rumanian patent. While he does seem legit (he has a fairly long and what looks like legitimate research history), I suspect he has "done a Beneviste" with this one.

Here's the report by Clinton Rogers, who did the original interview with McCormick back in 2009.

Seems the new version of the 'detector' developed and patented by Mira Telecom at last has the flashing light that McCormick promised before he went to prison.

Dr Marian Apostol does appear, superficially, to be a legitimate physicist, but has never published a paper in a respectable journal showing results from his so called tests of the ADE651, nor indeed the new variation on the theme. He also self publishes many of his papers, and is on the payroll of Mira Telecom.

Anyway, here is the report from 00:50 on:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... 3_03_2014/

Amazing that Mira Telecom have received a grant of 750 000 Euros from the EU to research bomb detection equipment. Their history of involvement with the ADE651, AL-6D, DKL Lifeguard and EPOFAT Train Detection system is widely available on the net. Not least at my own blog.

The scam goes on.

If you want to get MEPs involved... UKIP might actually be our friends in this particular case!

From yesterday's Guardian.
Why are countries still using the fake bomb detectors sold by a convicted British conman?

In the Middle East, there's also the important concept of "saving face". So it would be a VERY brave/foolish man who admits he bought a stack of VERY expensive lemons that left his citizens unprotected. It will always be either someone else's problem or <hand-wave>"These are not the bomb-detectors you are looking for. Move along!"

Our man in Germany has discovered the latest in copycat explosives 'detectors' being marketed in China.

http://www.cdsuomai.com/en/Product_Show.asp?id=1

http://www.cdsuomai.com/en/Product.asp

http://www.cdsuomai.com/en/Pride.asp

I have written to the Chinese Embassy in London to draw thei attention to this, and suggest that the Government in China gets a grip of this. We believe that McCormick managed to sell them unit sof the ADE651 in the past.

If anyone else feels like dropping the embassy a line, here are some email addresses I managed to dig up:

chinaukscience@yahoo.com
defence_chn@yahoo.co.uk
gb@mofcom.gov.cn

Here is the text of my email. I am sure some of you can do even better!

It is with regret that I am writing to inform you of the continuing marketing of so called 'detectors' in China, which are useless and dangerous.

We have information that a version of these so called 'detectors', the ADE651, was sold in China. It is worth noting that the man behind the ADE651, Mr James McCormick, was convicted of fraud in the U.K. in 2013.

It has come to our attention that a number of Chinese companies are still selling similar devices. The latest details we have are as follows:

http://www.cdsuomai.com/en/Product_Show.asp?id=1

http://www.cdsuomai.com/en/Product.asp

http://www.cdsuomai.com/en/Pride.asp

In case you do not know, such 'detectors' are incapable of performing as claimed. They are no more than fancy dowsing rods, and dowsing itself has long been known not to be effective.

May I respectfully suggest that your Government investigates the selling of such devices, and takes steps to prevent this in future.

For those of you who are interested, just been sent this:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/ ... cCann.html

This is a retrial as the Jury was unable to decide last time around. We had thought that this was due back in May, but seems to have been delayed for some unknown reason. probably best not to make any detailed comment at this stage as would not want to stymie the proceedings with anything potentially prejudicial. Will just say for now that hope for the right outcome!

I regret to have to inform you that the trial has apparently been postponed due to the Judge falling ill. We can only hope that the delay is not too long, as we are keen to see justice is done. If we receive any further news we will of course try to let you know as soon as possible.

More good news regarding Gary Bolton.

Following news of the guilty verdicts on Samuel and Joan Tree (see last post), the news has emerged that Gary Bolton of GT200 infamy appealed against both his conviction and sentence.

Bolton lost challenges against his conviction and seven-year jail sentence yesterday.

Bolton was present in the dock of the court to hear Lord Justice Pitchford, Mr Justice Wilkie and Mr Justice Green reject his claims that he suffered "unfair prejudice" during his trial and that his sentence was too long.

Lord Justice Pitchford said the sentence was "appropriate" for the criminality involved in his case.

Brief update to let you know that Samuel and Joan Tree will be sentenced on September 25th following the guilty verdicts in their trial for manufacturing and selling the Alpha 6 variant of the fraud.

Some of you may know the history, but for those who don't, Samuel (along with Malcolm Roe, now believed dead) was responsible for bringing the scam to the U.K. in the form of the Quadro Tracker. They initially hooked up with gary Bolton and renamed the QT Mole. After a fall out, Bolton went on to work with McCormick on the Mole. They then fell out and Bolton re-invented as GT200.

McCormick went on to the ADE 651, and Tree hooked up with Simon Sherrard on the Alpha 6. Hence my groan inducing puns that Tree is the root of all fake detector evil here in the U.K., and all branches of the scam emerge from him, leave-ing him much more guilty than the Alpha 6 scam alone. A fact that I hope the Judge accounts for in his sentencing.

Sadly Sherrard was found not guilty last year, by some extraordinary miracle a.k.a. a gullible jury.

The sentencing of the Trees will bring this chapter of the story the fraud in the U.K. to an end. There are still other loose ends such as Mira Telecom having launched a new version called the MEXD in Romania (the ex-partners of McCormick, and still apparently true believers - at least in the monetary potential). Also Unival in Germany who continue on with the HEDD1, formerly known as Sniffex. As well as Yuri Markov who 'invented' the Sniffex, still at large in Bulgaria. We also suspect that there are a number of Chinese counterfeit frauds ( I love that concept!) at it. Even a new version just discovered by my German informant - see here for more tremendous twaddle:
http://www.williambirchard.com/BMSL_BLOCK_DIAGRAM.html

Just marvel at the magnificence of the multiplicity of features!

Therefore sad to say the scam goes on, but at least hopefully somewhat restricted.

Oh, just to add. That Samuel Tree must be a lovely chap. Although his wife admitted being involved in the production process of assembling components in the high tech facility of their garden shed, he could have absolved her by taking all responsibility. But no, by pleading not guilty she has to go down with him as well (oh dear, going down is not a nice thought when one sees pics of the delightful couple! My apologies for the double entendre!).
