Well, it might be a good idea. But....

A brochure for the Unleash the Power Within event suggests that once you overcome the fear of walking on coals of between "1,200 and 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit" you can "conquer the other fires of your life with ease".

A spokesman for the San Jose fire department told the San Jose Mercury News that it does not recommend that people undertake the endeavour.

It CAN be done though, can't it? Or is it always somehow a trick...I reckon wet feet might help as I have noticed hot sand doesn't burn when coming back out of the sea as much as it did going in!

I won't be trying it. I applied the principles of democracy and consulted my toes, and the vote was a firm 10-0 against. So that's that. ;-)
