Not only is it quite incredible that this sorry excuse for a man is still an M.P. (see Cash for Questions and expenses fraud), but he is now proposed as a Member of the Science and Technology Committee by Geoffrey Clifton-Brown M.P. on behalf of the Selection Committee.

Tredinnick has been a long time supporter of woo of various flavours, including homeopathetic (sugar flavour!).

As this has been announced as Future Business, perhaps it is not too late to put a stop to this madness? Surely the last thing we need on the S&T Committee is a supporter of pseudoscience? Let alone a crook though finding a politician that isn't, or at least is competent these days may be a tough assignment.

We have a guy inexplicably approving Murdoch's increasing monopoly over the objections of Ofcom exposed as leaking to News Corp and so promoted to run the NHS despite being a supporter of homeopathy. Finally we have the honourable member for Holland and Barrett, notoriously the most anti scientific barmpot in either house and a veteran of the cash for question scandal being appointed to the Science and technology committee. I fully expect them to appoint Nicholas Soames as sports minister next.
