I am trying to think of any British-owned car company still in operation. Caterham came to mind, but they were bought by a Malaysian businessman some years ago. Certainly if there are any, they are something very specialised with negligible sales.

McLaren are much bigger than Morgan. Turnover of almost £1billion a year. But are Middle-East owned.

You are right - I wasn't aware that McClaren sold so many cars (4,800 last year). Morgan seem to sell only about 500 per year.
